Meet Steven Franklin
Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major. Author. Leadership Coach.
My Story
I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with roots in Batchelor. From an early age I understood what it meant to work hard, stay humble, and serve something bigger than yourself. Those values followed me into the United States Army, where I served for 26 years and retired as a Sergeant Major.
During my military career I deployed twice to Iraq, earning two Bronze Star Medals. I led Soldiers through some of the most demanding conditions imaginable and learned that leadership is not a title. It is a choice made every single day.
After retiring from the Army I spent 11 years in the Oil & Gas industry, leading teams and developing people in a high stakes, fast-paced environment. That experience taught me that the principles that build great military leaders translate directly to every workplace.
I founded Franklin Leadership Solutions to bring those lessons to organizations ready to grow. Today I serve as a Certified John C. Maxwell Coach, Speaker, and Trainer, and a DISC Behavioral Analysis Consultant, helping leaders and teams find their direction.
